Anti-Bribary Statement

Acorn Energy Ltd is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in its business activities in the UK and abroad. All employees and individuals acting on behalf of the company are responsible for maintaining the organization's reputation and conducting business honestly and professionally.

Acorn Energy Ltd believes that bribery and corruption have a negative impact on business by undermining good governance. We benefit from conducting our operations in a transparent and ethical manner and ensuring that there is honest, open, and fair competition. With a level playing field, Acorn Energy Ltd can lead by example and provide excellent services to our customers.

Acorn Energy Ltd does not tolerate any form of bribery, whether direct or indirect, by or of its staff, agents, or consultants, or any persons or entities acting on its behalf. The board and senior management are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems throughout the business to prevent, monitor, and eliminate bribery in accordance with the Bribery Act 2010.

A bribe is a financial advantage or other reward offered, given, or received by an individual or company (directly or indirectly) to improperly influence or induce them to perform public or corporate functions or duties. Employees and others acting on behalf of the organization are strictly prohibited from making, soliciting, or receiving bribes or unauthorized payments.

As part of its anti-bribery measures, the organization is committed to transparent, proportionate, reasonable, and bona fide hospitality and promotional expenditure. This expenditure must be authorized in advance according to the procedures outlined in the organization's policies.

A violation of the organization's Standards of Business Conduct policy by an employee will be treated as grounds for disciplinary action, including the potential for a finding of gross misconduct and immediate dismissal. Employees and other individuals acting on behalf of the organization should be aware that bribery is a criminal offense punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or an unlimited fine for the individual and an unlimited fine for the organization.

Acorn Energy will not do business with service providers, agents, or representatives that do not support the organization's anti-bribery objectives. We reserve the right to terminate our contractual arrangements with any third parties acting on behalf of the organization with immediate effect if there is evidence of their involvement in acts of bribery.

The success of Acorn Energy's anti-bribery measures depends on the participation of all employees and those acting on behalf of the organization in detecting and eradicating bribery. Therefore, all employees and others acting on behalf of the organization are encouraged to report any suspected bribery according to the procedures outlined in the Raising Concerns Policy or the Counter Fraud, Bribery, and Corruption Policy.
