GDPR Statement

At Acorn Energy Ltd, we are committed to maintaining your right to privacy, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As such, this policy outlines your rights to privacy within our organization. If you are a client of ours, we will have your information on file for ease of correspondence. However, this does not give us the right to contact you without your consent.

Sharing Your Information:

Acorn Energy Ltd will not share your information with third parties, unless conducting business with you where you would reasonably expect for this information to be distributed. Save Today is one of our acknowledged third-party providers who may contact you.

Opting Out:

If you wish to stop receiving communications from us, you can opt out by using the click option on emails that we have sent you. Once we receive this request, we will blacklist your company and will not contact you again unless you contact us. Alternatively, you can email us at customer.services@acornenergygroup.co.uk or call our office and the same process will apply.

Subject Access Request:

If you wish to obtain information that we hold on you, you have the right to make a subject access request under the GDPR. You can submit your request either by telephone or by emailing customer.services@acornenergygroup.co.uk. We will be required to adequately identify you before disclosing any information. However, once you have been identified, we will respond to your request within thirty days. If the request is complex or excessive, we may require an extension of up to two months to deliver the requested information. If this occurs, we will inform you and provide a reason for the extension. If a subject access request is needlessly complex or excessive, you may be charged an administrative fee. We will always inform you of this before processing your request.

Right to Erasure:

Under Article 17 of the GDPR, you have the right to have your information erased from our systems. To erase your information, you can submit your request by telephone or email customer.services@acornenergygroup.co.uk. We will respond to your request within one month of your submission. If the request is complex or time-consuming, we may be required to extend the time period by up to two months. If this occurs, we will inform you and provide a reason for the extension. We will be required to adequately identify you before proceeding with your request.

Right to Portability:

At Acorn Energy Ltd, we will always provide requested privacy information in a commonly used and easy-to-read system. This method will be secure and align with the needs of the Regulations.

Right to Rectification:

Under Article 16 of the GDPR, you have the right for your personal information to be correct and up to date. If you believe that the data we hold on you may be incorrect, please telephone us or send an email to a contact listed at the end of this policy document. We will then review your information in line with your request. We will respond to your request within one month of your submission. If the request is complex or time-consuming, we may be required to extend the time period by up to one month. If this occurs, we will inform you and provide a reason for the extension. We will be required to adequately identify you before proceeding with your request.

Right to Object:

You have the right to object to your personal information being used. If you wish to raise an objection, please contact Acorn Energy Ltd at the earliest opportunity and we will cease using your information.
